MUSIC ROOM PRODUCTIONS has signed an agreement with 9Squared Inc. of Colorado to distribute RINGTONES to cellular phones internationally. 9Squared will distribute via the Internet from RealTone JukeBox and FlixTones.
Ringtone will be delivered through "BREW applications" that will go direct to the cell phones.
KONG TONES are the first in the series to be released. They were designed to represent the AWESOME ROARS and sounds of KING KONG ®. These sounds were approved by the film maker Peter Jackson to represent the sounds of the upcoming film for consumer products.

Rawk Dawg - Rock with an Attitude - "There is no false advertising here". This is the type of Rock that the Rolling Stones used to do. We're not claiming it's the next Rolling Stones, but it certainly has a raw, edgy quality that's rarely seen in these techno, hyper-produced days.

Recently I had a half dozen CDs to review for WMHB's "New Rock" section. There was one CD that caught my eye and I saved RAWK DAWG for the last. It was the CD's title that had me hopeful: "ROCK WITH AN ATTITUDE." Could it be? Would it be? In a word: YES!
EVERY single track DOES rock - with a definite rawk swagger and attitude! You need go no further than track 1 - LESSON 4 PLAY AROUND - because it features the band's signature loud dueling electric rhythm guitar/lead guitar sound and the battle doesn't stop through all ten up-tempo tracks. The band's website review page (rawkdawg.com) mentions bands/artists that RAWG DAWG has been compared to, and two of the bands were ones that I think of when I listen to RAWK DAWG: Black Crowes and the raspy vocal style of Bryan Adams. Plus the opening guitar riffs on tracks 7 (THAT LITTLE TATTOO) and 9 (WALKIN' OUT OF MY SHOES) are vintage early Van Halen power chords and the songs just plain ROCK!
The CD's one-paragraph liner note says the "tracks were created during several improv sessions in the Studio" and that many of the vocal and guitar tracks "are first passes, so the freshness of the inspiration was captured." I couldn't agree more! The music IS fresh, and each track has that crankin'-captured-live feel to it.
Every few years, we hear that "rock is dead". Well, RAWK DAWG let's us know that not only is rock alive, but it's also kickin, bustin' up the furniture and breakin' down the walls! Want that live-feel, kickin' rock sound? Check out RAWK DAWG's "ROCK WITH AN ATTITUDE" and you WON'T be disappointed! And of course LISTEN to them in central Maine on the Big Whoombie, 89.7 FM, WMHB Waterville!
